Audubon – A young girl who is developing her own sustainable garden found our site and after she looked around she gave us a site to check out. This site is in New Zeland which has opposite seasons but wonderful information is available there. Check it out.

The North Carolina Natural Heritage Program is part of the Office of Land and Water Stewardship within the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The program serves as an information clearinghouse in support of conservation of the rarest and most outstanding elements of natural diversity in the state.

NC Division of Parks and Rec Education – Ideas for programs and activities for youth aged 6-12. Downloadable Junior Ranger Guide and back issues of newsletters with ideas and programs. Check out the yellow box on left.

NC Environmental Educational Grants – Grants available for Environmental Education. If your club is working with a school but there is not enough money to do the project check here for your funding.

Ecology Warriors – The educational booklet, “Ecology Warriors” was prepared by the Environmental Concerns/Conservation Committee for use in the classroom, in youth groups and at garden club meetings. It was recommended and approved by the NGC Board of Directors to be distributed to all members. The Workbook is available for downloading on the NGC website.
